Hey guys! It’s Ally, yet again, being the crappy amazing blogger she is, posting for the first time in twenty nineteen! I see you guys, damn, lookin’ good y’all! The last year was pretty bomb actually. Okay, now let’s go and start reading…
~twenty eighteen in ally’s words~
I started the year in a new place and it was really cold. I spent the new year with family and friends. The rest of the month was used in gifting people cakes that we had too much of and taking down our rather enormous Christmas tree.
This month was completely spent studying. My aunt who had come from America for my grandfather’s (her dad) one-year memorial and is a math genius, helped me. I ran 5 km (3.1 miles) along with my family. This aunt participated too, but she ran 21km (13 miles). She’s an all-rounder, I suppose. And in the personal news, I got my first period, attained happiness for two minutes and groaned for the rest of the week.
I had my final exams of eighth grade this month. One day, (March 14, to be precise) I found out that Stephen Hawking had died. Not that this inspired me, but on this day, I started a blog. I got a few followers and began a journey not many know I’m on, a journey I’ll never regret.
Summer started and I got a lot more free time to blog. During this time, I took up my yearly activities of church class, chess, badminton (daily occurrence) and so on. I finally revealed to my sister Lisa about my blog and she was my rock in trying to hide it from my cousin Mae. I went to Wisconsin with my grandparents and Lisa, like I do every year.
I had to study a bit on the insistence of Dad. *it’s summer!* This was the time I went to Madras along with my cousins and Lisa. I was surprised about this trip, but okay! I was feeling part school-sick and summer-sick (I was missing school and summer respectively) by the end of the month.
School opened and I saw my baes 😉 *wink wink* and my besties again. Ninth grade was honestly bo-ring as heck.
~same as June ugh~
We had a lot of holidays due to indecent weather and so I missed school and my peeps a lot 😦
Exams again, but this month was special. I saw my DM my friend Sara had sent me – a screenshot of her Facebook notification – today was the birthday of my old crush. I was all ugh, but I was confused. See, this guy (he’s Kyle here) is a grade above me and I liked him in eighth grade. And according to gossip of my gang, he absolutely liked me back. We were really cute.
When another friend of mine named Jen DM’d him and revealed that I liked him, something happened. He didn’t talk to me or look at me like he did. I only found out that Jen had texted Kyle when he told me so in February this year. I was already dealing with so much then, I couldn’t care less.
Anyway, now when I knew it was his birthday, I immediately texted him a casual happy birthday. When he thanked me with emojis, I took the bull by the horns and asked him why he didn’t talk to me. He said idk. So he said in cute ways that he’d talk to me again and he did! YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!! Now that I think of it, I had prayed that Kyle would talk to me before my fourteenth birthday! THANK YOU LORD!
I turned fourteen and posted a little bit more on my blog. At the end of this month, I found out that I would be travelling to America* (read disclaimer below) the next month! Yay!
My sister was just about to turn 12, but in flights, being eleven means you’re a kid. While I had to eat organic desserts and vegetables that loved staying in my braces, she got red velvet cake, sour gummies and mashed potatoes. I loved America. I also found out a really cute and popular junior (eleventh grader) liked me.
I went out with my friends and my friends Jen and Coco turned fourteen. We celebrated Coco’s birthday at her house with Jen, Sara, another friend Kaylee and me. We took the best pictures ever. The rest of the month, the Lord helped my realize the blessing I had that is family.
Hope y’all had a wonderful Christmas and a great year!
